Volunteering
Join us at the Rizoma field studio
Rizoma welcomes volunteers throughout the year. Volunteering means hands-on involvement in permaculture, building, gardening, cooking and creative projects. It's a chance to learn practical skills, live simply, and be part of a small community in a beautiful rural setting.
Activities vary by season and current projects, but typically include garden work, food preparation, woodland management, building and maintenance, renovating the residency space, composting, and participation in cultural events and workshops.
Working Actions
Day and weekend working actions for those who want to contribute without a longer commitment. Join us for seasonal tasks like planting, harvesting, building projects or event preparation. Follow our news for upcoming dates or get in touch.
Short-Term Volunteering
We host short-term volunteers through Workaway with a minimum stay of three weeks. You can find our profile there and apply directly. We provide food, accommodation and a supportive environment in exchange for around 5 hours of work per day.
European Solidarity Corps
We are registering as hosts for the European Solidarity Corps. Through ESC we offer longer-term, formalised skill exchange opportunities centred around arts and our artist residency programme, as well as activities related to the Fermentation Lab such as preparing for and assisting at workshops.
If you are interested in applying for a longer-term volunteering position through ESC, get in touch.
