DIY Microscopy Workshop / UROŠ Field Trip

In October 2021 we hosted a knowledge exchange session with artists and scientists from the Hackteria network who were visiting the region as part of the KonS funded UROŠ (Ubiquitous Rural Open Science Hardware) project.

Paula Pin, Miranda Moss, Hortense Vielfaure and Rob Canning investigated DIY microscopes made from old webcams, testing them with yeast counts from our farmhouse brewery. We are grateful to Paula Pin for gifting Rizoma equipment from her overloaded lab in a suitcase — the beginnings of the Rizoma BioHackLab.
