*Umetnost življenja: Umor na podeželju* (The Art of Living: The Act of Killing) is a documentary theatre production co-devised and performed by Barbara Kukovec, Katarina Stegnar and Urška Brodar. The work examines patriarchy, femicide, and gender-based violence through the lens of rural communities. The production premiered on October 10, 2025 at Stara elektrarna as part of the Mesto žensk festival.

About the Production
The performance explores how art can catalyse social change in rural communities while confronting systemic violence against women. It integrates personal narratives, feminist performance art references, and documentation of rural interventions.
A co-production of Slovensko mladinsko gledališče, Zavod Rizoma, and Mesto žensk.
