January 2023 Open call for this years rough and ready artist residencies in our KontejnerLab.

As a registered NGO we can help support you with letters of invitation, co-productions etc. Please email us if you are interested in joining. Currently, we are unable to directly offer a fee or travel expenses, but we can offer you basic accommodation in our kontejner studio or one of our beautiful bell tents (summer only), time, food and drink. In addition we are happy to give artists access to our various tools and lab equipment.

Soil Micro Residency
(9-13 May 2022)
This week Zavod Rizoma hosted two open soil researchers in our Haloze field lab as they developed projects in conjunction with the UROS project https://www.hackteria.org/wiki/UROS. Malte Larsen developed and built a prototype fungal bioreactor based on the Johnson bioreactor and Julian Chollet developed and rehearsed a radial soil chromatography workshop. The week was supported by Zavod Rizoma, the Hackteria Network and the MicroBiomik Society as part of UROS, a project within the EU funded KonS Network for contemporary investigative art. We look forward to ongoing research in these areas and continued collaboration with our residents and their wider art/science communities.
